The church of San Pancrazio, built in the 18th century, is impressive for its single nave with an elliptical plan.
The church houses an important collection of 16th-century paintings which adorned the previous 15th-century church: works by great artists from Lombardy such as Moretto, Gian Paolo Cavagna, Carlo Ceresa and Giovanni Battista Moroni.
Particularly noteworthy are the latter’s famous Last Judgement, an unfinished work linked to the legend of the nearby Casa della Torre (Tower House), and the Adoration of the Magi, one of the artist’s finest achievements and a source of inspiration for the Street Art work that graces the new park on the river Cherio.
The magnificent canvases by the Venetian artist Francesco Polazzo, created on the occasion of the 18th-century rebuilding of the church, complete the tour of this prestigious collection.
